DOORS

Front Door - The front door should be used for all entry to and from the house. You should have been provided a code prior to check in to unlock the door. To lock the door, simply turn the deadbolt from the inside or press the lock icon on the outside. Please make sure the door is fully closed when you lock it and always lock the door when you leave the property. If you are having any difficulty accessing the property, please contact property management for assistance. 

Casita Door - The doors to the Casita should remain closed during your stay and only used for emergency egress purposes. YOU CANNOT LEAVE THE HOUSE FOR THE DAY THROUGH THE CASITA - THE DOORS WILL NOT BE LOCKED. YOU MUST LOCK THE CASITA FROM THE INSIDE AND LEAVE THROUGH THE MAIN FRONT DOOR. To ensure both doors are properly locked, lift up on both door handles and turn both deadbolt latches to the vertical position. To unlock, turn deadbolt latches to the horizontal position and pull down on the door handles. Please ensure that both doors are fully locked at all times.

Garage Doors - The game room garage door is locked shut should remain closed at all times. Please do not attempt to open the game room garage door. An alarm notification will be sent to the host warning of the open door. Guests do not have access to the secondary garage and should not attempt to open the garage door. 

Host Closets - Inside the game room, there are two closet doors. The door with the combination lock is the host supply closet and guests should not attempt to open this door. The second door leads to the water filters, water heater and other backup supplies. This door should remain locked to prevent kids from entering this space. In an emergency, this room may be accessed by using a screwdriver to unlock the door.

AIR CONDITIONING

The main house is services by a central air conditioning unit that serves the living room, kitchen, dining room and hallways.Temperature for this area can be controlled using the Nest thermostat on the wall between front door and dining room. Simply turn the nest thermostat to set your desired temperature.

Each bedroom and the laundry room are served by their own individual mini split ai conditioning unit. Please use the remote on the wall next to the door (or by sink in laundry room) to set the desired temperature for the room you are in. Please turn off room AC units when leaving for the day or at the end of your stay. 

The Game Room is not currently served by its own air conditioning. However, it may be cooled considerably by turning on the Laundry Room AC and using the box fan to direct air from the laundry room and into the Game Room. We are planning a future upgarde to bring additional AC to this space soon.

TELEVISIONS

All Televisions in the house (with the exception of the Game Room) use a ROKU TV in Guest Mode.  This allows you to watch your favorite shows using your own lists and profiles just as if you were at home. You will be prompted to enter your departure date and then have access to your favorite streaming services using your own accounts. You must log in to each service separately on each TV to use. You will automatically be signed out of all of your accounts on you Departure date. If a remote is missing, please contact us to let us know. In the meantime, any ROKU remote should work on any TV.

GAME ROOM

 

The 80's themed game room provides a number of classic arcade and vintage games for you to enjoy including foosball, arcade classics like Galaga, Centipede, and Pac Man, Karaoke, Jenga, an Infinity Board Game Table, Darts and more. Please do not remove any items from the game room or you may be charged for the full replacement cost. Please feel free to leave behind any your own items of 80's nostalgia to add to the collection. DO NOT UNPLUG ANY OF THE GAME ROOM DEVICES. YOU MAY BE CHARGED IF A HANDYMAN IS REQUIRED TO RECONNECT GAME ROOM DEVICES FOR THE NEXT GUEST. 

 

LIGHTS - To turn on the stairway lights, press the BLUE button at top of stairs. To turn the stairway lights off, press the RED button. To turn on the white overhead lights in the game room, use the switches at the bottom of the stairs and located to the immediate left side of the large garage door.

 

ARCADE - To turn on the Infinity Game Table, Arcade Console, TV, and Karaoke, you must turn on the Arcade switch on left side of the large garage door. The switch is right next to the main light switches for the room. Please do not turn on/off individual games, lights or other items and leave everything turned on and connected for the next guest. Use only the switches to turn on or off the lights or game room features.

AIR CONDITIONING - The game room is insulated but does not currently have its own Air Conditioning. To help cool the area, there is a fan located in the laundry room doorway. Turn on the laundry room Air Conditioning and direct the fan to blow into the game room. 

INFINITY GAME TABLE - This table top game has a number of board game variation on board that can be played by up to 4 people. It is operated as a touch screen. Please do not place any items/drinks on the tabletop surface as it will interfere with the touch screen. 

KARAOKE - There are two microphones connected to a speaker in the corner of the room next to the television. Press the Home button on the TV remote and then select the YouTube App to find karaoke songs. For example, if you want to sing "Don't Stop Believing" do a search on youtube for "Don't Stop Believing Karaoke" and select a video. Or just search "Karaoke" for a variety of suggestions. Adjust the television volume for the backing tracks. The microphone volumes are preset. Please return the TV to HDMI 4 when done with Karaoke.

ARCADE CABINETS - To return to the main menu press and hold the Player One Button for 5 seconds. For the Star Wars Game, press and hold all 4 fire buttons for 5 seconds. 

PANDORA ARCADE GAMES - The Pandora arcade system has thousands of vintage arcade games available as well as console classics like Nintendo and Sega games. Make sure the TV is in HDMI 4 to use. You can select this source using the TV remote and navigating left from the home screen until you see the "Source" button. You can then select HDMI4.

 

Use the joystick to make a selection and press the "A" button on the game board to select.  To search, scroll to the top and then to the right to engage the search function. Use the "A" button to make a selection. You may have to add a coin to the machine by pressing "COIN" before a game may be selected. To add more coins within a game, press and hold the START button until a menu appears and then press the "A" button to add coins, press the "B" button to exit. Some games may not display correctly on the large 16x9 television screen and some games may not function well with Arcade style controls. There are thousands of games available including Arcade classics, Nintendo and other gaming systems. The TV should remain in "HDMI 4" mode at all times. 

BACKYARD

 

All remotes, lighters or other small items for the backyard area are located in the desk in the left side drawer. Please return items to that location when you are done with them. 

 

POOL - Pool equipment is located behind the screening fence beneath the stairs leading up to the balcony patio. The pool is connected to a solar heating system that is only heating the pool while the pump is running. Please leave the pool vacuum in the pool at all times. A pool service provider may arrive on Mondays or as needed through the back gate to service the pool. 

  • Pool Lights - The switch to turn Pool Lights on/off is located with the pool equipment and looks like the image below.

  • Pool Pump - The pool pump runs automatically in the morning and evening. To run manually open the box and press the button inside as shown on the image below.

MISTERS - The back patio is equipped with misters that can be turned on to cool the seating area. Please make sure you turn off the misters when not in use. The mister equipment is located in the backyard, under the stairs leading up to the balcony patio,To activate the mister, turn on the water valve and press the on/off switch as depicted in the photo below.

SPA - To use the spa, disconnect the cover clamps from the front of the spa cover and flip back the cover so that the spa is exposed. Ensure that the spa has sufficient water in it to reach the top of the filter (large round object on right side). If water level is low, use hose to add additional water and run filter before using. Use the control panel to set your desired temperature and jets. Tapping the light button will alternate light color options. Turn off jets and re-cover when done. DURING PERIODS OF HIGH HEAT, THE SPA WILL BE DISABLED AND MAY NOT BE USED.

PATIOS - Above the pool area are two patios. One of these contains the pool solar heating panels and should not be entered at any time. The main patio outside the Master Bedroom is open for guest use and contains a propane fire pit. If propane should run out during your stay, you can swap the fire pit tank with the BBQ tank as needed. Please leave the empty tank out on the patio deck so we are aware that it is empty and so we can refill it for the next guest. Do not place empty tanks in the storage shed. If necessary, a lighter can be found in the desk drawer inside. 

BBQ - The BBQ also uses Propane stored beneath the grill. Please turn off the gas valve when not in use. If you run out of propane, you may swap propane canisters with the one found in the fire pit on the upper balcony. Please leave any empty propane canister out so that we can have it refilled for the next guest. Please also leave the grill clean for the next guest. 

SECURITY CAMERAS

There are four security cameras on the Property. The first one is located at the front door in the Ring doorbell and is directed at the porch. The second camera is located on the front of the house and aimed at the driveway. The third is on side of the house and is directed at the driveway and Casita entry door. The fourth camera is located in the backyard and directed at the rear gate. There are no cameras inside the house or directed toward the backyard patio or spa area. Disabling or covering the cameras at any time is strictly prohibited.

TRASH

Please empty all trash to the containers on the front side of the house. Recyclables can be placed in the propepr can but please do not place trash bags in recycles container. If Trash can is full, leave trash in sealed bags next to container. A trash service will come and move the cans to the curb on Sundays and return them to the house on Mondays.
